@Spats I too run 6014HS's and have never had an issue. Never had an issue with the original 6014FS. I have a friend who had a nice plane go in from a suspected 7008 s-bus so the 3 I have are still on the shelf for the time being. If you get a report on that 7018 please let us know. Mucho...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Got to Foley at noon and darn it was really :on_the_go:windy but out of the north / north east and down the runway until I landed on my second flight. Very strong dead east cross wind. Caused a wheel pant to crack that beautiful clear coat a bit:(. I would say steady 15-20 and gust close to 25...

    Who make's this fuel pump?

Not trying to take business from US vendors. Most of it was bought at US vendors who are supplied by the big C. It is just for those who like DIY. That's all;).

    Who make's this fuel pump?

Yes it does! HK has a hand pump with metal gears for really cheap. They also have pump and 12vdc motor for DIY really cheap. I pulled the pump out of the hand crank and added my own motor. Will post a pic of the "guts" in a bit. I have been using this for over 2 years now and it has been great...

    3D Big Ailerons

@Spats Glad the flight ended in a safe landing. You think a voltage drop caused the lock out??? I'm thinking six stalled servos and when you add the 4th then 8 stalled servos!. If it where me I would be thinking of doing separate batteries just to power the ailerons alone.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

Was really windy today down here too 10-20 knots. Got a couple of good tuning flights at the "Strip". Hope tomorrow is a bit more calm cuz I am ready to bring this beast to the deck. Engine ran great! That Saito was sweet sounding! Looked liked it pulled that extra just fine! Now lets talk...

Show us your cowl exit air pics

A 6"x 12"x1" solid balsa block. Was a wee bit of sanding but I had made templates of the cowl inlet opening and center offset for the propeller drive hub. Believe it or not it was not that hard to do. There was a day when I actually built airplanes!o_O

Show us your cowl exit air pics

Mine is oriented for air exiting at the bottom of the cowl. The most important thing is getting inlet air to go no where else but across the cylinders and behind the cylinders. Look at @Alky6 what he did. His is like what I would do with a round cowl but he did it with a smaller Extra cowl...

    EF Edge 74"

Looking forward to your assembly and maiden:). I know I said I was not going to do another "30cc" 3D plane but if this thing flies like I have heard I would really appreciate your input on the flight characteristics. If it is anything like its bigger brother I am game! Happen to have a nice...
