We don't have anything but rain in the Northeast. "Arthur" crashed our BBQs and fun!

Sorry, didn't put up the "sarcasm" sign! But thanks for the clarification Jacob to anyone thinking I was serious about that! My 60s are emergency (read ball up my primary plane) backups for IMAC so I'll take the 1% hit in the rare chance of actually having to use them. In the mean time it adds...

Not sure. I'll ask. I wouldn't downgrade 10% for a "movie icon" sitting in as PIC!

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

+1++++ You know the old adage about "ASSUMING"? "No action is action in itself". Don't be a victim of assuming that someone else will make what you feel is the "right" decision. Speak your mind in the context given. Make your comments on regulations.gov, communicate with legislators when given...

Lol- "hmmm, wise 3D pilot you are" "I was reacting to "straight and level" transitioning to 3d" And for that your advice is spot on. I missed that in "Yoda's" post. Pilot figure- too cheap to spend $20 on pilots for 60" so Target had this and Vader for $5 each. Light and cheap!

Absolutely! I just skipped to the Balsa since that's where Yoda was "at" from his comment. alawson999 is correct and my advice to anyone getting into the hobby is "Simulator, EPP, instructor/ simulator- practice, practice, practice, EPP, repeat til comfortable, then Balsa. It sounded like Yoda...

Hey "Yoda" here's my "pilot"for the EF 60" Laser- it's you! Lol Cheers, welcome to the 3DRCF community. A member of our club has an Addiction X and likes it. It is very limited as far as growth. Slow flight, harrier, hovering and harrier landing all great but that's about it. Repairability is...

Welcome Bill. Enjoy the community. Thanks for all you do for RC. Not to put you on the spot but there is a thread for reaction to the FAA interpretation of the new model aircraft rule. Your insight may be helpful. Thanks.

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

These are all good thoughts and you all have the right to your opinions. As a reminder please post those comments at regulations.gov to give it a chance to be heard. There is a divide coming with the commercial technology blossoming for platforms capable of revenue generating tasks. However...

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

Well done Swede. I'd much rather see the "vents" and the bitching directed away from our community and where it belongs- in offices in DC where it can reach "our" representatives. Thank you.

Come to the Northeast aronph! We have clubs here loaded with "sound Nazis". Rather than dealing directly with sound complainers and working out issues we have some clubs willing to have members spend LOADs of money chasing ever changing restrictions with varying meters. It ridiculous.

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

The docket is now on line for comment. I would strongly suggest that everyone make a comment before the deadline of July 25, 2014. I have asked AMA to come out with a "form letter response" for the membership to make this easy. In the mean time feel free to copy and paste this- (modify as you...

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread- Yes you are correct, good idea. I did just check and it is not up for comment yet. However the comments are due by July 25th! Only 30 days! Nice! This will require some action. I plan to comment on line but in the mean time I printed the AMA response...
