    110" TIMBER Assembly Thread

It only took a month... but I have another video of the 110" Timber flying off those river rocks I posted earlier. I'd say the plane/tires handled the terrain better than I thought!

    Yippee! What the postman brought

You and me both!! I wanted a 3Blade Prop for my DHC-2 and a DLE20 with a 2.25" Spinner. After figuring out their file was bad, I sent them my prop (15x7x3) and they custom cut and sent back. Wendy was a pleasure to communicate with at Tru-Turn/ROMCO

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Wowza. Burned up that four leaf clover! I had a similar experience with an old seagull Edge 540 with an OS120 and a 6 cell NiMH with an onboard battery checker. The Battery checker was set to 4.8v not 6V (whoops!!) I was flying and said something isn't right, set up a quick landing, on approach...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Just need to know where to shop for batteries! I've been liking China Hobby Line (CHL). I enjoy my 6S quite a bit, but after having a few cells go bad here and there ($$) I've been way more diligent with putting them back to storage and checking the IR from time to time.

Yeah, the price increase is no joke. Most expensive floats I have ever owned... But they perform great! I could have repaired the floats, but it would have taken so much time with the busted/rotted ply on the inside I decided it wasn't worth the effort and have other projects I'd rather work on...

Thanks guys! It truly is a wonderful plane to have in the fleet. It's a fabulous float plane too. I do not like how stiff the landing gear is and have been pondering re-making a few things to giving it some more spring. Half the fun is greasing landings, but when it skips and squeaks on rough...

    89" SkyWing Laser 260 V2 Assembly Thread

For Sure. My flying site times are limited due to tourist season, bad weather, and watching my little one... So tackling one step at a time is more fruitful and enjoyable. I do feel that the throttle is more linear now and was a huge step in the right direction. I'm going to preset some KE...

Finished repairing the 84” TBM. Floats are in the dumpster though. I didn’t have any gray ultracote laying around so I used silver. Not bad! I’ll need to order up some floats.

    89" SkyWing Laser 260 V2 Assembly Thread

Been getting some more flights in. Reset my throttle curve to match my ARS. I had to raise it quite a bit to create a linear feel as well. The best way for me to get it right was to open up the curve menu and adjust the curve during ground running. Fly it- adjust as necessary. I got it pretty...

    3D Printing General Discussion

3DPrinted Airplane Tires!! I’ve been wanting to try this for a VERY long time. Used some old 95A TPU I had purchased years ago for testing. My plan was to use the tire on my 4” SpotOn rim, but after seeing 14 hours per tire on the printer I decided to reduce the scale and make a test...

Nice, love it when a design works after all that work. My 1m MiniDart V1 was the same way, just blew through the lift. You could find it, but couldn't stay in it. My 1.5m Flitz2 stays in it. My flying buddy has a 1m Deviant and it's pretty impressive for a 1m. He also has the Hawk but it's a...

Looks really good buddy... wait.. this isn't a DLG anymore! You've entered the F5K territory ;) How are you going to secure the canopy/hatch? Dont forget a little NACA duct to cool the ESC :too-cool:

Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

Roger that, It seems strange to me that the engine feels like there is no throttle movement from 1/3-1/2 then just wakes up and starts pulling super hard. Time to investigate. Think I have about five flights on the plane now. It's very consistant so I'm guessing I have a geometry issue... I...

Took the 89” laser out along with the 75” edge. Both flew great. Need to figure out my throttle response on the laser - was playing with the throttle curve but it’s not helping much. Super peaky at mid range. I’ve never run a canister before and am curious if this is part of the issue.

Whipped up a tire installer for the 3.5” spot on wheel. Just uploaded it to thingiverse as well.

After skipping my poor 84” TBM to the water hard, I have decided to scrap the floats and rebuild the fuselage. I’m getting there…
