Sport Bud Nosen (!!!) 1/4 Scale Citabria Build! Woo hoo!

Sounds good bud. Yeah I like building light. It’s a challenge for me seeing how light her strong I can keep something. Learning CAD has giving me a new way of looking at things as well to cut weight and add strength at the same time.

Thanks bud. How much you looking to get for the other kit?? I was thinking I could scratch one out and put my own twist on it with the things I have learned and make it lighter and slap a 40cc twin on it.

What 49dimes said. I have a 17oz tank in both of my dle55 powered planes. The sukhoi I fly for 8 minutes and when I land I have roughly 1/4 tank left. It sees a lot of wide open throttle though. My edge profile on the other hand weighing right at 14lbs once fuel is on board I fly hard for 10...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

The dlg shouldn’t be to hard to repair without adding much wieght. Not real worried right now though since I will need new servos yet again before taking it back to the sky’s.

Out flying my 1M dlg in the yard. Had an aileron servo lock up at full deflection and it death spiraled to the gravel driveway. Think I will be able to repair it so stay tuned.

I will say this kit is stupid easy to build. The guys at DJ Aerotech have put some time into their designs and it pays off. Everything fits great and they have a great build manual to follow. Also let’s throw in there the excellent customer support. My kit was missing the precut trailing edge...

Thanks I will keep the updates coming. Crazy when you go to the drawing properties page in AutoCAD and see how many hours have been worked on a certain model.
