The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

You give me to much credit. I only stuffed the plane. Bought it as an arf. My buddy @wecoyote was the second owner and he rebuilt it to its current state after a pretty bad crash.

Peeled the covering back to expose the damage to my Carden cap from its incident yesterday. Nice little crack all the way down the side of the fuse.

Well I pulled the plug this morning. Motor deff went lean. Pulled the muffler and looked inside to look for damage. Still looks good so I'm gonna richen the HS just a bit and give it a go again once I repair the fuse.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

So I broke my 30% Carden Cap232. Was just flying around getting a feel for it as we had 10-12mph winds blowing. At the north end of the runway I went into a wide open throttle up line and was going to do a poptop. Right as I was about to start the poptop the motor quit on me. 7th flight and no...

Yeah I think next time I do it I will be getting the same razor saw you have. There was only a little paint chipping on this one right around the nose of it. No issue though as this plane is getting a complete recover so the cowl will be repainted.

Just my exacto brand razor saw. Used the taller of the two blades that came with it. Did really good.

Haven't done much in the last couple of days but I got in the shop this morning and took a play out of @Terryscustom playbook and split the new coal in half for this edge I'm working on for a buddy. He has never had a plane with a split cowl before so he should be really happy once I return the...

Question of the Day. If you won a DA 70 Twin, what would you put it in?

I had seen on that other site where you had won that motor and was wondering if it was worth a damn or not.

BIGASS slab but hey I'm kinda partial to the ones that look anorexic.

    Prop bolts....what's the consensus?

They come already stuck together or at least the ones I got did.
