    Tony, I use the butyl rubber tape for sealing deck fittings on my sailboat. it’s really sticky, especially when the temps get above 90. I’ll be interested to see how it works in this application.

    Not nearly as potentially costly, but I was flying my Carbon Cub today and noticed that on the 2nd flight it was very touchy. Landed and saw that I still had the rates set on high from making the turn while taxiing. I never fly on high rates! Aging sucks!!

    I'm in the Columbus area. I fly at Dineen Field, Westerville Model Aeronautics Assoc. No excessive noise from the compressor motor. Just the usual oil-less pump sound. Yes, the motor is cap start/cap run.

    I tried HCS first. Apparently mine is out of alignment, needs calibration. If you go with Cricut, get the Maker. The Explore won't cut balsa.
