    Back in the shop this weekend. The Pilot RC Yak recently had a landing gear issue (somewhat brought on by a pancake landing) but several screws from landing gear internal bracing were missing. I stripped the plane down, will send in the DA120 for cleaning, and exposed the internal bracing...

    Brought in some throw away steel from a renovation construction job. The strips are 6x48x3/4” very heavy steel and the plate is maybe 15x18 and 1” thick. Again, very heavy steel. No particular need for it, will just add it to my scrap metal collection. Probably 500 lbs total.

    Go for it. I build larger strictly for using better sounding engines and that Kolm certainly fits the bill.

    Aging Yak cowling needs some more attention. All of this could eliminated but I like hiding the interior.

    Direct transfer. I noticed a slight difference in idling speeds beyond the trim switch so easily found the servo adjustments and bumped up the idle.
