Introducing the NEW 2015 38" Slick 540! With an Extra 330 SC and an EDGE 540 in our lineup of EPP planes, we just had to have a slick in there also! The Slick 540 has excellent flight characteristics and is such a sleek looking racer model, so we developed one on our new 38" size EPP model. This plane combines EPP skin EPO core and balsa frame build up to produce a ultra light 38" 3D monster. There are extra CF spare in areas of the plane to add the rigidity without having a full balsa frame inside. The EPO also adds strength while maintaining ultra lightweight.
This model will be your introductory 3D trainer. It is smaller and lighter then the 48" or the 55" and can perform almost any 3D trick you can think of while also providing a little extra room for error with it's smaller size and lighter weight. If you are new to 3D flying this will get you ready for something bigger in a lot less time.
However, you don't have to be a hardcore 3D pilot to enjoy this plane. This plane can be as mild as you want it to be. Just dial down the throws and add some expo and it would fly like a trainer with very smooth responses. You can also set up dual rates to switch back and forth sport and 3D flyings according to your mood.
We have gone through multiple prototypes before final production to ensure the plane would provide the best performance in any flight envelop.
