Fabricating Flexible Headers

I have been unable to locate a pair of flexible headers for my RCGF 40cc Twin and it appears I will have to fabricate them myself. I am using the engine in my Byrons Originals Pitts and I don't want to cut holes in the cowl. I also want the exhaust to exit in the scale location at the bottom rear opening of the cowl.

Can anyone offer suggestions as to how I might fabricate these ?

Thanks.

Thanks Astrohog. I called them and it will not fit the RCGF.

On the VVRC 40, did they say it was because of the bolt pattern it would not fit or is it the stagger of the cylinders? If it is the bolt pattern, it is because there is a 3mm difference in the bolt pattern of the 2 engines with the RCGF being the smaller of the two. But even at that you may be able to oblong the bolt holes enough to get it to work. Just a thought.

Also, does anyone know if the VVRC 40 is aluminum or stainless? If it were stainless you could get new flanges from the link Bill sent you and a braising rod and change the flanges over.

Use the original mufflers, cut the stingers short & use some convoluted gas pipe with yellow plastic on the out side cut off, fit it over the short stinger and bend to suit the cowl outlet, make sure it is screwed and safety wired so they don't drop off
