Ignition wiring for rpm

I have an RCEXCEL plug in RPM meter but it don't work on an RCGF ignition. Anyone know what wires on the meter plug can trade places so it will work?

Best thing to do is y harness the sensor pick up and tachometer. Battery power to ignition will power it all up. Works fine.

The RCGF has a rpm port, the RCEXL meter does not work on it. I thought it would be a simple switching of the wires but I can't tell which one is which with a cheap azz tester. I have a very good meter at the other house but not worth the time to go get it, so I'll just use the hand held tach.
