On the fence!!....Hinge gap sealing

I have been flying for many years and have read countless posts about hinge gap sealing. Taking into account what I have read, the majority have said it is not necessary and does not affect performance.

Let's hear your opinions

it increases the roll rate and make the plane feel more locked it (to me anyways)
most pro pilots do it
it's easy
it's added insurance if something tears off like a hinge
I say do it

It makes. HUGE difference. You are losing tons of control authority through the gaps.

Just slap some blenderm in there and see.

Guess I need to try it on something I'm already flying and see what it's all about. Most of my planes already have a decent roll rate, especially the profiles.

I was actually thinking Blenderm, I have some lying around here somewhere. Covering is an idea to, sealing iron, spare covering...check!

Blenderm is what I used on my new Redwing RC 50cc Extra...it does matter.

I used to use Blenderm but now clear packing tape. Easier to work with and absolutely clear.
