Hey Gyro I found a different plane that I want to pick up in Texas. 50cc is the sweet spot for me at 87" for flying reallly really light 3D. But who knows. I can get manic and pick-up a couple:thumbup: I'd rather get a pre-built though. Look at me already planning something that hasnt happened yet and cant decide. I think I will just hide for now:scaredchair:

Gyro I received my Wolverine switch today, when I flip one switch both receivers turn on. Do I need to turn both switches on, or just the one? Thanks, Michael

The switches isolate the batteries, not the bus. Either switch powers all outputs.

Use both switches when applying power.

Based on my experience with the 3dhs cowl opening and gp61 temps I saw, I had to have a straight line of air across all jug fins. This cowls inlet will defiantly straiten out the air flow but only looks like the top fins see the direct air. On the exit side this cowl has geometry that generates a low pressure pull. I guess this all adds up to good cooling.
GYRO. What spinner diameter did you go with? Assume you are sticking with 24x9 prop?

I've actually been running the falcon CF 24x10 for the last 30 or so flights, and really like it! The extra speed makes for some violent tumbles and spins, and it doesn't seem to loose any pull down low.

Kole had his 92 Edge flying at the Nall with just the cowl scoop opened so I'm starting with that. The different is his was piped, so not sure how/if that hurt or helped.

I opened up the big canister tunnel exit on mine, and between that and the built in cowl vent (you can see both in the picture) I "think" I'll be ok. Figure I can cut more later, but not really put back ;)

With the AeroPlus 92" Edge as light or lighter than the 3DHS's, I am going with the 24x9.

Based on my time with a 24x10 I can imagine that this V3 airframe, a 24x10, and GP61, one only needs to have the engine a bit off idle RPMs to hang it on the prop!!...Too much of a rocket ship for me, I like to see the colors of the plane vs. a screaming blurry flash.

Looks nice...Can you shoot a pic of your layout of receiver and batteries behind the wing tube? It looks like the inside is a lot wider behind the wind tube than most.

I followed your lead and ordered a 20oz WrongWayRC tank... took my 16oz tank to Empty a few times when I got could not stop doing fast passes for 12 minutes. The extra 4oz should help with the safety factor.

Good luck ....I am waiting to hear the successful maiden story tomorrow!! Do me a favor and triple check aileron direction....
