Damn I'm hungry
The plane weight is 8lbs 8oz ready to fly on fuel. What I get from most of the threads that a 20cc plane should weigh less than 8 lbs. ideally a 20cc should be 7-1/2 lbs I will never get it that low. I do not think I could get down to 8 lbs.
The engine is a OS GT22 with a pitts typ muffler.

My Skyline Edge weighs 11 pounds and 72" WS with the RCGF26 and pitts muffler. It flies really well and does not wing rock like other smaller gassers but man it was built so light as an electric the engine wants to shake it apart. I'm always having to check the airframe for popped joints or cracked wood after flying. I'm thinking your plane is a bit more durable and a flight stabilizer such as the Aura8 would make it an awesome performer with the 26. I don't use the Aura in mine because it is so stable already but the guy I got it from did (Originally built the plane for him) and it did do much better on very windy days. Does your Edge have a built in beam mount or is it separate?

Have only one Servo on the elevator.
We bought two of these planes. One for my self and my friend bought one. Test flew his well to say the least it was a hand full barely got it down. Reduced all the rates by half and put 50% expo in that made life a lot better all I can say is start slow this plane can be wild to say the least. Do not get me wrong good plane but work your way up.

Thank you for the quick reply. Must be some changes to the airframe as I got a hold of the shop I purchased the kit from and according to them it does take duel servos on the elevator. The rudder is set up as a pull pull. Again thank you for the answer. My servos should show up Saturday I hopefully will finish this up by the end of next week. I'l be sure to dial her down for the maiden until I know what she'll do.

Keep the weight down you will be surprised how quick 20 cc plane gains weight. Keep very-thing to a minimum. My buddy has the same plane as I do and he builds heavy dual everything every aluminum mounting plate and fancy stuff and it came out 1 and 1/2 lbs more than mine and the difference to fly was night and day. And I am going to try and remove 5 or 6 oz from the plane this winter when I get a chance.
Must say the colour scheme looks good.

@Snoopy1 Idiot me did not realize this was YOUR build thread:confused:. I have read completely through it and all my questions about this plane are answered. Thanks and great job! Forgive me. I was that lazy kid in school who just liked to look at the pictures;).

I just reread your build thread I was looking for how you delt with the choke I think I will install a servo also. I can't see another way that I can make it convienent. This lead me to another question however. The venting you did in the tail section just curious how well that works for you. I am down to trimming my cowl for my muffler and plug wire which will stick out a little on the bottom side. I remembered seeing your venting and thought it looked nice and if it avoids make large holes in the cowl I think it's pretty slick.

The vent in the back works great never had any problems with the engine over heating at all. I just prefer doing it this way it looks better and it works better I believe. Please look at the exit vent carefully it is built as a NASA air flow device the has curves so that it actually sucks the air ont. Flew it this last summer it was great but I am trying to teach my self 3D. When I completed the plane last year it can in at 9 lbs 7 oz. don’t get me wrong it flew great but did not have the power that I believe I needed to fly 3D the way I like. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to take as much weight out of the plane as I could when done the plane now weighs 8 lbs 9 oz . Will see how it flys. And after some struggling I managed to remove the chock servo and install a simple bell crank to operate the chock that alone saved me almost 3 oz.

Understand the weight issues I've been keeping an eye on it. I'm curious how you set up your choke with out the servo. I can't figure a way to run a linkage to a spot I would be able to operate it.
