Or the AJ Aircraft 105" 230 Lazer.
I really need to know the width of the cowl for engine installation. If anyone owns one and could tell me I would really appreciate it.

What engine are you using, If it is a DA 120, EME 120 or GP 123, they all fit with room to spare. I own two AJ 230z's and love them both

I have two engines on the shelf, a DLE 111 of which I know would work but also a Valach 140. Got the cowl width form another forum and now know it will not fit either being 13 inches wide. Being the Valach won't fit either airframe I ordered the one I liked best and it is on it's way.

I have the 105" Laser. A DA 120 fits inside the cowl.

I have learned the Valach most likely will fit the Lazer 230 and ordered one. Spoke briefly with Tim at AJ Aircraft when he called me about shipping, he thought the engine would be cool. But after a lot more research and calculations in regard to the weight difference I might reconsider. The Valach is 4lbs heavier than the heaviest 120 two stroke, but, my exhaust is virtually nothing at about 2oz. I will not know for sure until I get the airframe and can measure the wing area to see how much 4 more pounds will add to the loading.

I have two of their plans and they are fantastic and do fly light. I am sure it will fly great on the Valach the area it will not be quite as good is hanging of the prop the 4 Extra pounds will have some effect. But as you said headers and canisters are good for at least 1 1/2 lbs and you will also take off with half the weight of fuel. If keep everything else as light as possible their will be very little difference but yours will sound the best.

Thanks Snoop. I am looking at AJ's site specs of a 105"ws calling for an all up weight 26-28lbs, I don't know the wing area but no matter with another 3 or 4 lbs it will still be on the light side of wing loading. Most look for rocketing out of a hover, this should be half rocketing at least. This motor pulls a 38-40lb plane around like a rag doll.
But being anal and researching things to death before diving in, well, check this out,
.
This CompArf 330 is also why I am not to worried as long as it will fit the cowl. And listen to that sweet four stroke.

There is no lack of power there and sound is fantastic. And the size of the prop is huge. I think you will have a winner in that combination.
Do you have Valach 85 twin by any chance, if you do what do think of it.

I don't but a good friend has one on a 1/3 Cub, talk about a 3D'er. You can not go wrong with Valach engines, they are hands down perfection. Everyone I have and have dealt with is the same day after day and time after time, four flips choke and one without, if it is a really cool day maybe two after choke.
