Built me a removable upper deck today for my camper shell. Nothing heavy duty but more than sturdy enough to haul a couple extra planes to the field.

Made a simple deflection meter (in MM) from a t-pin and scrap light ply and got my EDF jet all dialed in where I want it and got both elevator halves traveling equally up and down. Just need some good weather now for some fun and sun :).
Broke out the left wing panel of the Pilot 330sc to start repairing it. Hopeful that the fuse will get here soon :concern:. Been 3 months now since I ordered it :(.

Try a 1000KV in-runner on 3S with a 5x4.5 APC. Ballistic! for 3S. Use a 50amp ESC

1000kv is a bit too low on the rpm, that would swing a much larger prop very easily. We suggest a 2900kv 35mm outrunner with an APC 6.5x5.5 prop on 3s, I have a 2600kv outrunner I need to swap shafts to get to work but I think it should fly it well.

I had a 35mm 1000kv 5x4.5??? on 3S 2000mah on one and it zipped pretty good 110+-mph. You must be looking to break 160mph and out run the radio signal:on_the_go::on_the_go::on_the_go::on_the_go:. And now that I think of it you are absolutely right about a bigger prop. I think it was a 6x5 not a 5x4.5 but I did have a 5x4.5 on something??? Dag gone it just can't remember.... may be the other popular speed wing. Messed around with them for a season or two :). Loads of fun.

35mm 1000kv outrunner is what's in my 48" Slick, swingin' a 13x6.5 on 3S 2200's.

The stock powerpack for the FJU runs a 35mm 2900kv outrunner on 3s, and swings a 6x5.5 prop.

1000kv at fully charged 3S 12.6 volts is 12600 RPM. At 4.5" of pitch that's about 54 miles an hour. Now @ 2500KV, now your talk'n.:on_the_go:

Kelly, the cholesterol from all those cheeseburgers is cutting off the blood flow to you noggin. ;) Ask me how I know this....... but since I paint and eat cheeseburgers I probably wont remember. :oblong:

Ain't that the truth Doug :lol2:. But hey....A nice nap seems to make things all better. Now where did I put that cheeseburger???

Woke up from my nap and actually accomplished getting the repair started to the wing :mario-banana:. As long as I don't have to do math I'm movin' right along :). Just need to make a filler piece then sheet over the holes and add the cap strips ( removed old ones due to damage) to the wing root and inside edge. Then sand and recover .
