This is the servo I use on ALL of my gas engines. Plenty of resolution, and coreless for precise movements:

A cheaper alternative is the D-625MW, though you will lose some form of accuracy since the motor is an iron core motor.

Been working on this the past few mornings before leaving for work. Just a foamie from hobby king and my value hobbies Giles has seen its better days. Really pretty impressed with it. Foam is denser more like the EPP that Twisted Hobbies uses and the fit of all the parts is great. We will see how it does as it calls for the same setup as the value hobbies planes but is a little bit smaller. All that’s left is to install pushrods and receiver.

They did a good job with the scheme! Could be a nice cheaper alternative to TH that might actually hold up!

Do you fly those planes in door or outside if do they must be a handful in a little wind.

The value hobbies foamies hold up quite well. They are a little softer EPP than twisted hobbies Stuff so they flex more but I had the Giles and it flew amazing.

Always flown mine outside. I have flown it in lots of wind and it’s a handful. Once you get to about a 5mph wind it’s better to just fly something bigger.

Productive day in the shop today. Pulled out the fuel tank, installed new tubing, along with the new fill and return ports. Finished all the wiring and receiver install, and dove into Flight Mode programming and linkage adjustment. Postman should be bringing Red Line oil early this week, so it’s almost time for engine tuning. A few more hours of dialing in the control throws, and fly next weekend. That’s the plan anyway.
