Give the man a break all he can think off is the Kolm and the sound. Hate to see what that Velox is going to look like his mind on the Kolm all day.

On the video....still doesn't show the canopy latching mechanism? Also would hate to try assembling that plane in windy conditions without a helper!!!
The canopy is held on like most ARF's, a couple dowels up front and bolts through the sides at the rear. Enlarge the pic in the first post and you can see the rear canopy bolts.
Assembly is not that difficult even with wind, bottom wings go on tubes, then the struts, then top halves go on wing tubes through the cabane and set on the strut.

I know what he's referring to. I will try to find a video, but not sure if it was offered on the Pitts. I could be mistaken. Until then, is this what you were talking about @Pistolera?

Found this too. Copied from the information from that other site.
  • SPECIAL NEW! Pilot-RC new and patented quick release system for fast wing mounting at the field.
  • Special Pilot-RC no screw canopy. Quick release with new security latch design.
  • Strong but light, specially developed for precision acrobatic and extreme 3D flying
I should not be suggesting this, but if you go to that other site, look on the home page. The thread for Pilot-RC Pitts is almost down at the bottom.

HEY!..GET OUTTA MY TREE!
Yep...that's it. Looks like the rods pivot up and into slots on the canopy tabs. Guessing spring loaded to keep them in the locked position, or overcenter geometry to do it?
