    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I love watching guys with your skills. Makes me want to get better with mine. Some day we will have to get together and fly. I think we are close enough:dancing-chicken:

I don't like it real tail heavy, just barely enough to get it to water fall and pop top nice as yours displayed well.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I am so amazed it came out tail heavy. I think I have built 8 of this model and ALL ended nose heavy and we had to add weight to the tail. Almost makes me want to build another one and see if it will come out tail heavy LOL. I also have some mixing for KE and it took a while to dial it in on...

Hey Joe, Just curious what you are using for expo. I use far less these days with the exception of the rudder which I need a lot or would be all over the place when hovering.

I'm not sure how I feel about people that fly this plane better than me;) Looks like you have the balance right on the money. It doesn't look like the control horn placement is bothering you. Great job.

Looking good Joe. Nothing this plane can't do. Your going to love it.

    3D Big Ailerons

I have another one of these Big Aileron Extra 300 I have way to many projects for the winter and not enough room. I love flying this plane and don't see a need for another one sitting in the corner so I am going to part with it. It is still in the box only removed to inspect it. I am going to...

:LOL_gif: As soon as they walk up I know the questions so I just say "As high and as far I can see it. As fast as I want and yes I do crash them" and no I don't want to fly real planes.:lol2: The last one cracks me up, do they not consider this a real plane that does fly:laughing:

Today we are suffering. It was 70 out and almost 3knots of wind. Tomorrow is going to be a little hotter at 72 but we will make do.

    Yes, Use the middle one.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

That would be cool if it does not come out real nose heavy. I have used cans and mufflers but never pipes so maybe it will help. Seems like I almost always have to add tail weight. That elevator throw will be fun, this plane is extremely stable in a harrier (No wing rock) no matter how much...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Oh that drives me crazy. I have a 3' long 1 1/4" round stick with sand paper glued on. Half the planes I build I have to run that up and down in and out all around over and over until the tube slips in. :very_angry:

I used to have a fishing charter business in Cabo for 10 years. We never used coated for our leaders because eventually the coat wears down and then the crimp can became loose. There for Spats does not use coated:)

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

Oh dang, sorry. Most of the Pilot planes do not have provisions, some do but not the extra's but..... On the Extra there is a cut out on the side of the fuse in the perfect spot. I just open it up a tad bigger and epoxy two small pieces of ply on each side for the servo to mount on. Pilot...

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I went threw a bottle of Loctite on the little screws and then the wood compressed and the threaded rod was wobbling in the hole. I had major flutter twice. I finally got it to hold but it really soured my taste for it. The plane is nice but the geometry and hardware is way outdated imho.

    Pilot RC 122" Extra 330SC

I had and edge for a short while and had nothing but problems with those things. Almost lost the plane twice. I will not be using them even if I have to take covering off and do some serious modifications. Honestly I would have gotten a PAU plane many times over since then but that wa just a...
