Article: DOC AUSTIN - Testing: Hi Tec's New HS5070MH Servos

Looks great Gary! The Edge is an awesome airplane and that scheme really looks sharp. If the Extra was everyone's favorite, Extreme Flight wouldn't bother making the rest of the EXP series. ;) Someday you do need an Extra though!

We have crazy winds here. A few years back our neighbor clocked it at 119 mph. Needless to say, there was lots of repair work that was done on many homes in the area. Wind is just part of living here. All in all, I love this place though. Country, mountains, lots of blue sky, and a...

As I posted before, I'm not a football fan. It was kind of cool though. I'll take a few minutes later this week to watch a few highlights on Youtube, but that's as far as I'm going. LOL I'd rather spend my time on the sim where I am in control of the situation instead of getting stressed out...

    - And what's wrong with that? ;) ;) I spent the day studying instead of watching. I'm not a football fan, but it is kinda' cool to have our "home" team make it to the top finally.

    "Full Scale" Flight simulators

Hey guys, as much as I love RC, there's nothing like flying the real thing. I've wanted to get my license ever since I can remember, but ended up so deep into this sport that I haven't had the time or money to do so yet. I'm just starting college now, so it'll be a while until I'm financially...

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

Thank you for the thorough and well-written explanation Kurt! This hobby needs more companies like Fromeco who truly put 100% effort into ensuring the highest possible quality in their products. My brother Michael and I have been using Fromeco products in all of our giant scale airplanes for...

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

Yes, just connect it between your battery switch and the receiver. + to + and - to -.

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

Enterprise, According to Fromeco, the PowerSafe receivers will not accept power from any of the output ports. Because of that, I simply solder a shunt/Y onto one of my battery input leads and plug the DC-Up into it there. Just make sure to put the Y after your switch if running one.

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

As Gyro quoted, it is ideal to bring them down to a storage voltage if you're going to leave them for long periods of time. To be honest, I've never really worried about it unless I'm done for the season. I usually fly mine down to between 7.5-7.7 and don't mess with them once I get home.

    Lipo vs Li-Ion

I've been using Fromeco Li-ion packs in all of my GS airplanes for the past 6 years and have never had a single issue. In fact, I still have the original set of 2,600s that I bought from them and according to Mike at Fromeco, they're still in excellent condition. I have a set of 5,200s in my...

    58" Extra 300

Oh that's a perfect early morning walking distance! I've carried an 88" Edge about half a mile through tall grass once, so a 58" Extra shouldn't be an issue. ;)

    58" Extra 300

Haha! Hard to imagine that was five years ago! It seems so recent, yet so far back. Life is amazing. I have to say that i was enjoying the hobby just as much back then as I do now!

    Twisted Hobbys Owner's Thread!!

You said it! I honestly don't think that anything could ever equal Nall, but we could certainly try. One of the things that makes Nall so fun is that it's a whole week. At the beginning of the week, it's so exciting to know that it's not going to end right away and by the end of the week...
