What alloy are you using? Thickness?
It is 2 mm thick and it is 7075-T6.
I was thinking about and said to my self if I cannot bend it then the plane will never be able. So this morning trimmed a good 1/4 inch off the width at the top end, so later on this morning I will try again.

Yeah it should bend pretty easy. I was able to bend 1/4 think stuff in a vise when I built the 55cc version
I agree with you bend several sets of landing gear from 1/8 up to 1/4 inch but this one has me beat. Just went down stairs and checked my 150 size plane and it was 5/16 and 2 - 1/8 wide, and I was able to bend it has longer legs and a lot more leverage.

Managed to bend it, it was not easy. It took a 2 by 3 by 3 ft long piece of oak to do it and a lot of tie wraps but got it done looks ok and will do the job.
The weight for the gear is 3.46 oz. do not know if that is heavy or light for this type of plane.

That is the landing gear done. Lightest wheels I have and all 4 mm hardware. Now I do not know what I want to do next. I know I should do all the hinging but it one part I do not enjoy, try to avoid it or postpone it as long as I can.

Got one side of the stabilizer hinged three 1/8 diameter Robart hinges should do it. Many more to go.
Decided to epoxy the carbon plate into the one side of the stabilizer first. This will allow me to plan the connection to the elevator push rod.
