Yes , but the fiber optic is not going in there as it doesn't have to . It will be more localized to simply opto isolate everything for safety

Every time I catch up on the build I just shake my head. The amount of work and the engineering that is going into this plane is just fantastic. The engine is going to something that will be out of this world just cannot wait to see the outcome. Really enjoy following this build.

I am with you. I am now just getting a little catch up done myself. I almost feel inadequate when I read up on all the progress. I am aching to see this thing up close and personal.

Passion? That would be an understatement. I think this build exemplifies the true meaning of "scratch build".

you guys are way too kind , but I do appreciate it. You know when you build something this large, you simply can't find anything worthwhile in hobby shops and you simply have to roll up your sleeves and make the dam things. And where I live, closest hobby shop is 30 km away, and they cater mostly to foamies and cars, not much help there....

did some work on the instrument panel, but the panel itself will need to be redone, in the meantime, you will notice the ignition key, well, its the exact size needed and guess what It works with my receiver arming since I use a failsafe electronic switch. also you will notice on the right of the panel instead of a gauge, is actually the airplane radio for the mid 60's in France.
I also posted a picture of the original, and you can see most of the actual instruments I will have to redo, but that is one fun part

Oh we noticed I assure you. And it works with your receiver arming? I wouldn't have expected less or any thing other than an actual operating key when it comes to your build. Oiy, I am so jealous. LOL. This is getting really good now that the major construction is done. The amenities added daily help me get my intravenous fix each evening. Just plug the needle in and pump in all the "AWESOMENESS" please.

Like everyone else, I have been following Rogers progress on this wonderful project. But I have a slight advantage as I live in the same are and not only get to visit his shop and project but am getting more and more motivated to tackling onto an in depth scale project. It is a real learning experience watching this model or should I say, piece of flying art, evolve. Partaking in brain storming session at our weekly coffee sessions with a few other modellers on this project. If any of you ever have someone on your area doing this kind of project, support them in any way you can as it makes the hobby better and grow.

I have stored the Dalotel Fuselage in the trailer for probably a month, so I could clear the table . still one wing in the shop which is nearly ready to go back in storage and bring the other wing. but the main reason is I can work on 3 things at a time . The other wing, the instrument panel which would seem to be as much work as a complete sport plane, and building a new fuselage to resurrect my faithful Laser. As for the Instrument panel , no pictures until its finished and I am happy with it.
