Aerobeez "BANSHEE" 91" Slick build

Not all airplanes are going to be exactly identical since they are all essentially hand built, plus airplanes are all finished differently depending on the builder, so one maiden video will never match someone elses maiden video. Everything you put on the airplane can affect it in the air, even where you place it inside, so a maiden video won't really tell you anything. You'll never know what to expect until you fly the airplane, but around here it is considered extremely bad luck to film a maiden flight and you may not end up taking the same number of pieces home as you arrived at the field with.

My landings are smooth like cream cheese so that won't tell you anything :p:D:D:D
Lets see the cream cheese landing in the 2nd flight video. That would be fine. Actually any video would be great.

The dual Maxima receivers provides you with dual redundancy so if one receiver loses link with the transmitter, at least you still have the other one controlling part of the airplane until the link is reestablished. It also provides me with more channels to plug power into since I am actually using 4 power plugs on the receiver end (2 plugs per switch to create power redundancy in the event one switch or battery loses power).

Maybe, we'll see if the photographer shows up ;)

Real quick flight video. Trying to be relatively gentle on the engine before it has a chance to break in fully. I can feel it getting stronger with every flight!!

I have 4 flights on it sofar, going to put 4-5 more flights on it tomorrow and then see how the needles need to be tweaked. As for the airplane, the DA70 really makes it scream. It's light, TONS of power (hovers below 1/2 throttle!), can't find much coupling sofar in knife edge or high alpha, tracks clean as an arrow. Snaps very quickly without any fuss, very responsive tail movement, and rolls are blisteringly fast. There is no need for the SFG's in knife edge, but I will be experimenting with them to see how much I like them.

Damn I'm hungry
Tanner....I put 4 more flights on mine today as well for 12 total.....( Congrats on the flights by the way :attaboy:)....It got humid today and leaned every ones gassers out. I was running a tad rich on the low end any way so the weather tweaked it for me :big-grin:
These 70's are little beasts I tell ya!

I unfortunately have some sad and unexpected news for those who were looking to see a flight video. I honestly have no idea what happened but today I went home with my tail between my legs and a freshly smashed 91" Aerobeez Slick, plus a busted off DA70 cylinder head and broken mufflers :cryin::cryin::face-palm:

I wish I knew what happened, I can only speculate at this point. The fuselage, main gear, pants, cowl, canopy, and right wing panel are all firewood at this point, might just be more cost effective to buy a whole new airplane. Engine is going off to Desert Aircraft tomorrow, hoping it's just a bent rod and some gaskets/bolts.

Sometimes it's just not meant to be :(
