Although I will say some of the newer ones are totally rad.

The DA70 arrived back at the HQ today, now I anxiously await a phone call to see what the damages were.

Do you mean you got it back and it is ready to go??? That is some kind of turn around! Check the serial and see if it is a new one?

Desert Aircraft gave me a ring yesterday, my engine is back to cherry new condition and will ship out today. Colton is the man and really helped out with getting it back to new. DA customer for life!!

Well if anyone has been paying attention to the workshop thread, you'd know that reassembly has begun. Landing gear is bolted in and engine is bolted on.

Probably start putting electronics in the airplane tonight, mostly everything just needs to be bolted back in place. The first Slick gave me some ideas on how to do some things a little bit differently so this Slick will reflect that (CG, electronics install, etc.).

Need to match up the covering to a roll of red and black so I can re-cover the bottom of the wing.

Going back together slowly. Probably 80% finished. Need to cut up the cowl, fit the receiver switch, mount batteries, mount receivers, and wire it up.

Trying to find the right color red for the bottom of the wing to re-cover it, but that should take me no time at all to actually cover.

Little more forward progress today. The cowl is cut for the mufflers and got all of the venting installed below. Mounted the ignition, the wires, and the ignition regulator today too.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!
