Big Electric plane show and tell

I have a question for you guys. One of the older guys at my field is building 2 P-51's, a Zirolli and a Hangar 9 and both of them are going to be powered with the Rimfire 65cc. He wants to run them on 15S. The problem is an ESC. So far I have only found 2 that will run 15S, a Turnigy 300A and a Jeti 115. If I can talk him into dropping to 14 cells there are a lot more out there. Any thoughts?

I currently don't have any big electrics. I used to have a 60 size Aeroworks Extra 300 with a Rimfire 80 running on a 6S 5000, but my favorite electric was my H9 Ultrastick 120 Lite. I ran it with a Rifire 160 on 12S 5000's. . . . . . . :yesss:

Bought this Electrified H9 46% TOC Ultimate from a buddy who needed to 'downsize' to a 100cc electric....Alien power 120x90mm brushless motor 275cc equv,.jeti 300a esc ,cap pack, 4 8000mah 6s packs

I've got a few.

The Great planes 25% Pitts m12s in my avatar is powered by a turnigy ca80 160kv 50cc motor, I'll run it on anywhere fron 8s 5.8Ah with a 24x15 for sport flying up to 16s! with a 22x12. I never went full throttle on 16s I don't think, it hauls it vertical well though, but 12s and a 26x10 or 14s and a 24x10 is probably best. ALso I got my AW 40% yak flying on a 95kv motor, same size as the Alien power 12090, I'm using one of my WATTS BIG 300A 16s ESC running it on 16s 16Ah with a JC 34x16. It was a little too much prop, so now I'm working on a different prop and changing some wiring too. Also I'm almost done with a 25% 30cc size Edge and a Pilot 40% Sbach, I'll post pics soon when done. Same power system, but I plan to use 14s 16Ah and a JC 36x16. Electric does have its down sides as you go big to 50-100cc and above, but I still enjoy them, and the small ones too like my over powered slow stick. Its fun hover on a 2-3s and will rocket vertical with my camera on a 4s 1800mah. I like a wide variety of size and design, but few in number, so it's fun to have a little electric like the slow stick to throw around and something huge and gentle like the yak, and something quick in between. I just wish they made 40% 3D helis.

Hows that ultimate working for you Bill?
Have to be honest....haven't had any time to fly this year....new job, working 12 hours overnight on a 'non-standard' work week is taking it's toll, but much, much prefer this situation to unemployment ;)

Also welcomed my third grandchild into this world late in June....unfortunately he had to spend over a month in neo-natal due to an infection at birth (not sure how he picked it up, most likely from the hospital) so we had to help our daughter and son-in-law watch their older son while they spent most of their time in the hospital.

Fortunately he's out of danger and home now, getting bigger every day, but he'll be on antibiotics for another year to ensure everything stays clear.

Big plans for next year ..... picked up new aircraft to fly, mostly bipes, but a couple of 'others' too :too-cool:

Will also be 'down-sizing' the hangar shortly.....going to exit the jet arena, as the field I used to travel to in PA is no longer active and my local guys don't fly jets so something has to give

I'll give you an update as soon as I get the electrified Ultimate up in the air
