ok ok ok gyro, you convinced me. preorder placed :D went ahead and got the motor, might as well with the 15% off. $400 shipped for the motor and airframe is very reasonable. just need to gather up components now...oh wait, i happen to have a spare ice 100 and bec pro and 4x hitec 7245mg's sitting at home. lucky me :D

Way to go! I'm jealous that you've already got all the gear, we still need to get ours!
I should have figured you'd be all over this beast, it is electric after all!

good point :D i miss my old sebart pitts python. i welcome something i can get parts for and is a bit easier on the wallet. i do have to send back a hitec 7245 with a stripped gear, but silly me lost the reciept and i dont remember where i bought them. figures.

They must not think it's needed as the 100cc Beast also has flat tail feathers. Apparently the full scale Beast only had very slightly tapered stabs.

All i know is i can't wait to get mine. I can't decide what servos to use on the tail. I really would rather stick with Hitec but Savox has some very reasonable priced servos with great specs. I'll probably go with HS-7245s for the ailerons though and use a CC BEC pro.

The worst part of this for me is going to be the batteries. I usually like having 6 packs for a plane so that'll be $600 just in lipos :facepalm:

I'm not setting mine up with AS3X since i fly with a Hitec A9 but i would love if i could. I think it would be fun :flyer:
