I like 'em "BIG"!
Since I am new to baffling an engine, I was looking at your design and was wondering how all of the hot air is going to escape the engine box? It didn't look like there was enough room behind the back cylinders for the air to exit unless you have the top formed and curved to direct the air more efficiently through the space at the back of the cylinders. Just curious and hoping for an explanation. I like the way it is setup, just curious on the "exit strategy" for the heat.
The air coming into the front of the cowl is compressed and forced down through the cylinder fins. You really don't want air escaping behind the motor. Best cooling effiency is getting the air to go through all four cylinders.

If the bottom of the fuse or air exit has a louver of sorts, that also helps create a "suction" effect to help pull the warm air out.

Coming along nicely! I told my buddy to get this plane for his four cylinder, too. Gotta remind him he'll need to chop the motorbox. Course I'd love to do that for him with my new chainsaw. hehe

It is designed to where all the incoming air on the topside of the baffles will be forced to go in between the cooling fins. We will find out soon.

Ahhhhh. I finally understand how this works. I was thinking the same thing as @thrumma, that air passed from front to back when in fact air is passing from top to bottom.

It has been confusing me for months now!
