No, it was political humor. The Muslim representative in Minnesota (?) made that comment about 9/11 (somebody did something) and got blasted for it.

Hey Tony,
It's a spider for the lathe spindle. I have to make a bunch of sheer pins for work and the stock is 3' long. This will let me use the 3' stock without having to cut it down to work with.

The saw has been working great as well.

Made some sleeves for my boring bars. Still need to make a couple more. so far so good. For the larger bar, I had to run set screws down through the top of the holder. Took me a the better part of an hour just to tap those out due to the hardness of the metal.

Had a little time this week so I was able to get the tailstock DRO installed.

I guess that would be handy.
