Damn I'm hungry
After two attempts finally got a battery solution going for the Extra to get rid of dead weight and put about a pound (15.2oz) of weight up front over the engine.

Must say that looks professional it is crazy the lengths we will go not to add weight to our planes but you know it is worth it, it just fly’s so much better when they are light. If you need any help on putting weight on the front of the plane again just ask @Jetpainter he has a picture on how to do it properly I will never forget that one.

Oh Boy :)......It's finished and done. Just need some warmer weather for test flight number 4 :big-grin:. Will more than likely have the new stickers on it that @Decal Dennis has done also :) before better weather rolls in . I explained to @stangflyer why I had to go another way about getting the batt's mounted.
The first mount design put the batt's too high up and cowl would not fit. If I had just moved it to either side then the choke would be interfered with or the access to the carb needles interfered with. So here is the finished mount installed. The dots indicate which battery so the appropriate balance tab can be used.
