Had a great time flying with some buddies in Rockford yesterday. Steve and Tim and the Kieselburg Flyers have a really nice field and great hospitality. Got to fly my 51" Slick and my 71" Slick and really had fun. Steve has a 70" Slick in the FB/Crimson Bovine scheme that he flew as well...including a canopy ejection with no damage! Did my first tail touches with my 71 Slick...I'm sure there will be many more to come!

Mike it sounds like your skills are really coming along ;) It's great to hear about your increased confidence to fly low :D

Thanks Nate, it is nice to feel more confident about flying low, especially with a bigger plane!

No rolling harriers yet; inverted harriers are my next goal. I can do them up high, but still tentative about bringing it down low.

I move forward slowly...lol...because I need lots of stick time for each goal. :)

And it is really nice now that I have a plane and an engine that is realiable...on my SU-26/DLE-30 the engine was just not reliable enough to do any of this. Of course, that was all my fault because of my poor throttle linkage setup on the DLE-30 which has since been rectified. Can't wait to get my DLE-30 in Bigfoot and do some down low stuff with that plane! :D

I put my 51" Slick and three batteries in the trunk of my car when I left this morning and on my way back from my client, I stopped at my "other" field and flew three quick consecutive flights. I have to say that out of all the planes I've ever flown, the 51" Slick may be my all time favorite. Maybe it's just because it's so insanely over powered with the Motrolfly 3615 I have in it. Three batteries in twenty minutes and my wife didn't even notice I went flying. Life is good! :)
