put about four flights on my extra today before the rain hit. Still flies great LOL. Like usual it goes where i point it to and tracks straight as an arrow. Though an older pilot in his 80's decided halfway through my flight to take up his cheap epp plane. Almost ran into me three times, then right as I am about to land and call Landing he crashes it right in the middle of the runway. I told him I can land around his plane and he goes out on the runway anyhow then sits there fiddling with his plane. I ended up having to tell him to get off the runway as I need to land my plane before I run out of battery and loose a $1K plane. He is a good guy, but that really irritated me as I told him I was landing.

I would think even AMA rules restrict access to the runway when someone has to land! Argh.... Glad u got down before you ran out of electrons.

He is 80! Probably got all self absorbed in "his" crash and needed a reminder. Also he's probably not fully familiar with the consequences of LVC! Glad you worked it out. Curious, any discussion after the "incident"? Sounds like a "learning/ teaching" opportunity at the field for your elder pilot and anyone else nearby.

No, he never said anything LOL. He is a great guy, but he is just getting too old I guess LOL. If it was another ten seconds I would have been in real trouble. I was right on the edge of LVC.

Well, tomarrow is looking like a great day with low winds and no rain. should be in the 70's and sunny. I am hoping to get out there a little before noon and fly until sunset. My goal is to put 10-12 flights on my 57 extra.

Another thing I did was take my plane up as high as i could and do circles. that way if i hit LVC I could at least dead stick it in.

WOW, that is just beautiful weather. Little bit jealous.

Down here in SOFLO, it has been 95, rainy, and 20mph winds... Saturday, I measured the air temp at the field (100*)

LOL, the weather has been pretty crappy here lately too, we have had a lot of high winds and rain lately. I am ready for it to get warm. It is going to get blisteringly hot this thursday. It will be 80 degrees. Thankfully we have air conditioning, I do not know if I will be spending a lot of time outside in that heat.
