I am not looking forward to winter up there. I am attending NMC in Traverse city this fall. Hope the winter is similar to Ohio LOL.

I went up there last week for a day to attend orientation and register for classes. It was a little over 7hr to get there. Pretty nice town, could not believe how many cherry trees there were LOL. Never even seen a cherry tree before LOL. Hoping to find somewhere in walking distance i can fly a small foamy as I will not have a car up there.

I plan on taking my mountain bike with me, and a small 32'' epp foamy. The Dunes are 40min by car and a lot longer by bike from NMC so I do not think I will be going there unless i can find a ride or take a bus. Did not get to see them when I went up last week. I had to hurry up and get back home as my Father had things he had to get done the next day. I am sure i will find somewhere to fly my little foamy. I was hoping there would be a place to fly indoors nearby in the winter.

Welcome to Michigan [MENTION=50]3Daddict[/MENTION]. TC is a beautiful area. Petoskey is awesome. Mackinac Island is really cool. Pictured Rocks in the U.P. on the coast of Lake Superior. Maybe you'll have a roommate with a vehicle... I think you'll love it up there. Many places to ski and snowboard in the area if you're into that. Good Luck!
