Scale Top Flite P-40 Build Thread

    I picked up a p40 that is partially built. Could you post some pictures of your horizontal stab,i was told that the top of the stab has what looks like anhidreal. Is this how yours looks?
  3. Both the top and bottom of the horizontal stabilizer have the same curvature
  4. I finished up painting the nose are and painted the spinner.

  5. There is a very slight taper on the leading edge toward the tip of the Horizontal Stabelizer

  7. The little black plane is a instruction aid for a friend of mine whose mother was a WASP in world War Two who flew bombers to Europe. This was a teaching aid to teach the ladies how to fly. We are repairing it to put in the WASP musium. It is very old and had been badly damaged from being knocked around in a closet for years and stepped on.

    Holy cow that thing is simply beautiful. Makes me want to get back into warbirds again. My very first fighter was a Top Flite P-40 Red Box. I built and flew it in '94. I sure miss that plane. Awesome job...really love it.
