    Welcome!

Wram 2014 starts today!!!

Next I got to talk to Golden Skies RC, whom is the US distributor for DLA engines. They are a offshoot from DLE with a emphasis on quality over manufacturing efficiency. Better bearings, Walbro carbs, more CNC parts and their own ignition modules to name a few differences. Unfortunately their shipment did not make it there yet (DA had a similar issue) so he had to Fedex in a few demo models and just had some basic info with him. What caught my eye is the new 128cc QUAD cylinder engine. Now he flat out said it was not really for 3D, but still how cool. I look forward to learning more about this engine line.

Once they got their shipping problems solved I went to visit Desert Aircraft. Here are a few photos of the mythical DA-35. They have spent their time working out the kinks in this new motor and they might be available in the next month or two. Sounds like it will be a 3D monster from some of the reports they relayed. It seems to have no problem with a Mejzlik 21x8 at 3000 feet MSL in the Tucson heat.

I picked up a DA-70 that I will hopefully get a review done on in the spring and Ben talked me into putting it into my 92 Edge.

I also stopped to talked to Castle Creations and they had a prototype Talon 120 with a 20A BEC. They tested the connector and heavy guage wire up to 10As. Also reported that they have a good beta test going on new firmware for the 28 pole Hackers and should be available for the whole line very soon.

Here is a cool setup that was on display for a Wyvern in the scale competition. Pretty cool counter rotating prop for no torque effects.

I circled back around to talk to Ben at 3DHS about the 3M epoxy guns, which he is a big fan of, when I noticed the wing tips on the new Yak 55. They are "toed in" to give it yaw stability. Like dihedral, only in the Z axis. The wing tip is straight, the photos are canted.
