Randy Zidik
New to GSN!
At age 72 I think I am good for at least one more build. I have built a 35% Hostetler Pitts S-1-11B, Hostetler 33% RV-4 as well as a JTEC 1/3 Scale Taylorcraft. This time around I wanted to build something along "old school" lines. While not technically an old school design it does have that appeal.
Among the new skills I want to learn are covering with Sig Koverall, painting the fabric and using a 4 stroke gasoline engine. I just purchased an NGH 38cc 4 stroke as well as the Top Notch scale dummy Continental Engine kit. The first several hours were spent identifying and labeling all the wood and WOW there is a lot of wood.
Managed to make a little progress on the left wing before the heater in my workshop decided to quit.
I found a number of build threads on other sites but was hoping to find one here as well. Not seeing any here asking if there is any interest in following the build ?
I will also need advice on covering, masking and painting the fabric at some point.
