Jus finishing making the motor mounts made the firewall bushings that will be inserted and epoxied into the firewall.
I like to use the bushing method instead of T nuts not a fan of them and they are just a stamp thread, and difficult to replace when they come out.

Been working on this little flying wing called the micro DammitE from AngelWing Designs. I’ve seen some people rattle can glider frames and cover with clear covering. I decided this little frame would be a good test subject. It’s a rustoleum fluorescent pink and yellow that when sprayed wet makes a cool orange gradient. I’m quite pleased. Just waiting on some electronics. I’ve got quite a gaggle of little gliders and I’m thinking about getting a separate transmitter for them that’s more spur of the moment portable like a radiomaster zorro…

Keep us posted on the radio. I've been looking at getting the radiomaster Pocket to be my daughters primary radio as she learns to fly.

I've been eyeing it for a while. A lot of places I travel are near coastal slopes, being able to pack a glider or two with a small radio would be easier than my wooden crate my wife says looks like a coffin. . . I like the pocket radio idea too and might have to give that another look. ELRS protocol is pretty sweet. I got the MT12 for some surface stuff that I have yet to use.

@BalsaDust I’m leaning towards the pocket radio! Same functionality as the zorro, only draw backs with the zorro is it’s slightly bigger with smaller batteries. The pocket radio has a tiny screen and no slider on the other side as well as some odd trim switches. I’ve seen a guy have his vario graph displayed on the zorro which seemed pretty neat for gliders. The pocket radio seems to be a great option for backpacking and tossing in a suitcase for some coastal sloping missions… hard to beat $65 for a radio. Thanks for giving me the idea of looking into it. I’ve gotta say, the price of their receivers for all the cheaper little gliders I have now sure makes sense.

Like building small planes a lot less cost but trying to install radio equipment into a small plane is painful. And difficult to make look clean. I think my favourite size is 35cc plane easy to get equipment in and can carry it around and fits a smaller SUV.
