    Visiting family and brought my 85 yo uncle something to glue, trying to keep him busy. He bought me a Kadet Mk II when I was a young teenager and I’ve been in rc ever since. Maybe I can get him to register here and do a build thread. Some of the planes in his shop are his scratch built designs...

    I’m getting there. There’s a welder and cutting torch rig out of the photo. I have a table saw and bandsaw to bring in eventually. I need a drill press, welding table, etc.

    The closer I get to finishing my machining hobby room the less tolerant of chips I get. I was playing around with both mill and lathe last week and swept and vacuumed before I left.

    Next step is a MicroMesh kit. https://micro-surface.com/product/hobby-kit/ Although that kit stops at 8000 grit. My kit goes to 12,000 grit then the polishing creams……..

    I’ve done both (fish and fly) on a pond like that. That pond is very similar to my uncles. I would be working the opposite bank minutes after I was done flying.

    Scale Nelitz 1/3 scale Cub build

    Not too bad. Popped the wood gussets and exposed the Hysol embedded control arm. A Dremel to cut into the epoxy and I was able to remove the arm. I enlarged the notch and test fitted the arm. It is a good 3/16" higher.

    Not liking this. I've always thought I made or glued the aileron arm too low, now I'm pretty sure. Thoughts?

    My 85 yr old uncle had has a bunch of Delta and Jet woodworking equipment. Jet wood lathe, big Delta planer, big disk/ belt sander. Including a very nice Delta Unisaw. He has stainless steel tables/ extensions that attach to the side and back. More wood tools than I can remember. All...

    Helped my son swap a fuel pump and replace a differential gasket today. Actually I helped move the truck bed back and forth. I let him do the dirty work. The blue seat pad was for me........

    I had a World radio in the early 80’s. All Futaba since so no help with JR. Although I do have a couple of Spektrum radios.
