Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

OK. Hopefully Tanner - @Xpress - can chime in here... Looking at scratching out a non-electrified pattern ship and planning on servos. Not many high voltage low profile servos available out there. Mini/micro servos look to be promising. I have been using the Hitec HS-7245mh (1.2oz weight -...

I understand the diversion! Good thing is it will be patiently waiting for you! Next up after getting the undercarriage cleaned up is cutting out the floor plans and welding in new ones. Back off the rotisserie and leveled up before cutting. Don’t want any twists in the body. Have a left lower...

I like the looks of that ! Pretty darn fast too. If those batts are holding up to EDF loads....the pricing was out of this world for that size battery!! How many cycles you have on them so far? Haha...and here I sound like an expert on batteries now...

Got the maiden done on the new to me Focus pattern plane. Very impressive how they fly. Sure don’t like to do a hammer head very easy though. LOL. Fourth flight and the engine is sounding like it is detonating. Horrible vibration. Figured out the wing tube had come loose from the false rib...

Hey Snoopy: I like Servo City’s layout to peruse the hitec servos. Whether you buy them there or not, it is an easy way to compare! https://www.servocity.com/servos/hitec-servos

Actually, 3M makes some tape that they use to assemble skin stressed truck trailers. You know the ones going down highway that are 48’-53’ long... If you notice, they have no rivets through the skin. It is double sided tape holding the aluminum skins to the hat sections. Doesn’t surprise me, but...

Just think of it as job security Kelly. ;) What you really need is about 8 or 9 more airframes to work on. That’ll keep ya on the straight and narrow!

Looking good Doug! Is the Dolphin Glaze a two part? Also, I finally got up the courage to sand out the run on my cowl. Thanks for the advice. Only took me a year or so to get to it. LOL. Before and after below. (Actually... after and before)

Thanks for the additional info, Kelly. Have plenty of room in the fuse, and after running it, the tank didn’t look like it deformed at all. Gonna roll with it as is and just strap her down. Will probably put some Velcro on to help keep things in place.

Tank works, BTW! Thanks! Still think you got a raw deal on the accident... No good deed goes unpunished....:black-eye: Fired up the YS late this afternoon. Sure do run nice. I think they vibrate more than a gasser at low RPM. No wonder they need a soft mount! Also, I noticed that it takes a...
