IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

These hubs get the perfect sweet spot between the spline so the arm is 90 degrees to the servo. If the servo has 23 spline that means there is 15.6 degrees of each spline on the servo which makes these hubs very desirable to centre the arms:oblong:;)

So when you tighten the four hub bolts there must be some play so you can adjust the centering of the arms:oblong: Did you rebalance your propellor to help minimize the vibration of that 150 you discussed about ! Looks great Cam , hope you get many flights between those two Carden Aircraft...

IMAC PAU Extra Build 105" assembly

I was planning on using this nice secraft mount for my throttle servo but found out that the servo bolt holes don't align up . I found an extra plywood servo box that was included with my 3DHS so i will use this instead .

IMAC PAU Extra Build 105" assembly

Finally got the rudder servo mounted in the rear of the Extra , the precise feel with the servo this close to the rudder is well worth it any balancing issues i might encounter later .:big-grin: I got this idea from Orthobird who did a similar style except much heavier hardware and carbon fiber...

So i ordered some Jr screws for my MKS servos along with Jr rubber gourmounts and Jr eyelets , i think they make superb hardware for the servos. What i found out is the Jr rubber gourmets do not fit into the MKS gourmet holes , the Jr's were to large in diameter and won't allow the eyelet to...

IMAC PAU Extra Build 105" assembly

During the assembling of the hardware to the servo I noticed an issue with the turn buckles . It seems that when they were produced the left hand thread wasn't completely cut into the the rod leaving a partly cut thread that was cutting into the 4-40 ball joints So of the hobby shop and...

I use air tool oil for all nitro engines , just a small squirt and flip it over a couple of time and your good for years . Nitro engine are prone to have bearings go bad , the nitro fuel thats in the crankcase draws moisture towards to and then bearing issues start.:oblong:

Got the aileron hinges glue in yesterday and spent some time picking out the excess dried gorilla glue from around the hinge. Used some painters tape to protect the covering from the glue , worked great . Here i taped the aileron to max deflection and allowed the glue to expand and harden .
