Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

Put an idle down on a switch for landing only. If you end up having to go around, be gentle on the throttle if you are worried about it quitting. Thinking out loud a little here about this. So if you are at idle and have the plane in a slightly nose high attitude, it climbs? That would mean...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

Yep, still true, no such thing as a free lunch. Even the mixing won't work the same for every speed/attitude/orientation/situation.... I have heard of some IMAC guys not trimming for straight and level cause the plane is never in that flight condition. Sometimes the best solution is burn LOTS of...

Need your help fellows - fighting elevator on final

This is where having the trim chart or app comes in. You only want to change one thing at a time so you know what is making the changes and they can interact with each other. Good news is, lots of practice landings.

Find the trim chart by Peter Goldsmith and print it out. It will guide you through all the trimming step by step and in the right order. My guess, you are slightly tail heavy AND have thrust fighting you. Here is the kicker on trimming though, only make one change at a time and then go back and...

    painting ON covering?

One tip I did get way back when, was to let the plane sit in the car for a few hours in the sun and then iron out any wrinkles, then do the paint. This was supposed to keep it from wrinkling after it was painted.
