The I'm going out flying thread 2016

That sucks. I had the torque 4016T-500 MKII on 6s. The eme is a big improvement on power but it's not a rocket by any means. I need to tweak some stuff but I think it will fly ok for me until I finish a project or buy something else. I hear someone you don't care for sold all of his...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I finally did some flying last night for the first time in almost 2 years. Trying out a new eme 60 in the old heavy yak. Pulled it around pretty good. I am a little rusty though.

New products @ Tail Dragger Rc

I see fittings but not caps? Am I just not looking hard enough or are they not available at this point?

    BRAND NEW PAU PLANES! EXCLUSIVE!

Come on...there's gotta be someone here who can translate that Chinese writing for us Judging by the amount of rudder servo spots it has to be at least a 40%.

    Rant......Pre assembled fuel tanks.

Drop a full dubro from about 10 feet up on to concrete and it will likely split at the seam. Drop a full water bottle and it will dang near bounce back up to your hand...with no leaks. Not that they need to hold up to that kind of abuse but the bottles are considerably stronger. Also...

    3D Shop Construction

Get better soon man. Those things can get real dangerous real fast. A friend of mine lost her dad when he rolled an atv on a hunting trip. Growing up in rural Nebraska just about everyone I know has wrecked one at some point(including me).

    Rant......Pre assembled fuel tanks.

I have never had any problems with water bottles and psp fittings. I have had leaks with every other kind I have tried. Just yesterday I used an f-word tank(it was free, I wouldn't buy one myself) to test run a new motor and it leaked all over. Luckily I think it was mostly around the can...

Needed Advise from my GSN forum Friends!

A few years ago I had an order that I cancelled after 8 months. "being cleared" is what they told me around the 3 month point. If I were you I'd cut my losses and order something that is in stock somewhere and make it work.

    IMAC Extreme Flight 78" Extra

All that work measuring and your servo splines probably won't line up to be 90 degrees and you will need subtrim anyway :D

    104 Slick Elevator issue

It's been a while so my memory is fuzzy but I am pretty sure the only difference is that one side has slots/hardpoints for the phenolic control horns. If the slots are on the bottom of both then you are fine. If you set the throws and the heat gun doesn't get them close I am sure 3dhs would...

    104 Slick Elevator issue

It is rare for the counterbalances to be perfectly lined up when elevators are at neutral(especially on an arf). Set up your elevator throws using the trailing edge and ignore the counterbalances. To minimize the warp you can bend them straight and hit the covering with a heat gun. Might need...
