    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Fully assembled, dry weight = 8.5 lbs. Ran the engine tonight, started right up after I got the fuel in the pump. Have some things to double check, tighten up, and adjust. Then schedule a maiden. May be a bit before I get there, but we'll see. The tach is only temporary sitting on the fuse. Will...

All good stuff here guys. Gotta lot of gettin' to it to do.... LOL. Soon. Soon. Lots of learning to do. Engine mounted, throttle hooked up. Need to finish out the ailerons and fuel system. Can't believe I am almost over the finish line!

I have everything mounted or sitting on the scale. 8lbs 5.2oz. (Except for tech aero IBEC and a couple fasteners). Also looks to be able to balance reasonably well. Pretty happy with that. End result should end up less than 8.5 lbs.

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Do you have a broach to make your own splines in the servo arm? If so, where did you get it (if you don't mind sharing)? If not, how are you making the splines? Thanks!

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Sorry for the detailed questions. Are you planning to tap the servo arm and then double nut the screw to set the clearance between the bushing and the servo arm?

    Scale 50% Dalotel 165

What are you using for a bushing/bearing in the connection point between the servo arms and the (for lack of a better term) aluminum collector that connects to the elevator pushrod?

Woohoo! Love the pic, what a beautiful field (and planes too, he,he). Congratulations on the successful maiden. Now, when are you going to tow a glider???

Running two(2) -1300 mAh lipos on an EF 78" extra with VVRC 40cc. Tech aero IBEC, so batts run everything. Can get four hard 10-11 minute flights and the packs usually end up about 7.5 volts.

Surfaces are hinged. Got servos installed in tail. Started making up pushrods using 4-40 threaded rod and carbon fiber tubing. First try gluing in the rods using thick CA was a miserable failure. Got mad and used some hysol 9430. Can't find anything that bonds to prepregs better than that. Just...

Ha, try 99% (best thing to clean up castor). Even better, when you buy in a 5 gallon pale, you just might get the sheriff to show up to check and see if you are cooking meth! True Story!

    AJ 93" Laser Reflex build/assembly!!!

What a great idea on the Hysol mixing. Can't believe I never thought of that. Such a waste using the mixing tubes, unless you're doing a lot of it!
