DA-150, any advice when buying used?

Years back, there was a fellow on Giants selling lots of the Government DA engines. I've no clue where he was getting them, but suspect he had some access to a test range where lots (and I do mean lots) were being shot down. I spoke with him once and he had sold several hundred. At that time...

Engine Running -> Wings On / Wings Off?

P-Huck and I cranked one of my DA-120 powered planes once "just for a minute" to check something, with wings off. I held it by both sides of the wing tube. The vibrations actually hurt my hands and up to my wrists and elbows. It was then I decided there may be something to the "don't crank with...

    Moving up to 100cc questions

I like the way you think. I've done near that exact same set-up on two, 37.5+% planes, and it worked beautifully.

    Roto Flow fuel tank

I am no gas or engine expert, but can say without hesitation that since I've been using non-ethanol car gas, I have not had a clunk line harden up. I firmly believe it is the ethanol screwing up the lines... I'm fortunate to have a convenient place to buy it, and I get 10 gallons at a time. It...

Thanks. It's no big thing. I've done it before on my TOC 37.5 Yak and 40% Extra and it worked out ok.

Greetings. I was curious to know if the single place, 120cc Edge comes with CF or Aluminum main landing gear, and does the canopy have to be attached to the hatch?  Also, is there a separate thread for the single place frame that I missed somewhere?   Thanks, Phil

    Wheel collar attachment

Designed to grip evenly around shafts, clamp-on collars provide more holding power than set screw shaft collars without marring the shaft. Slide a collar onto your shaft and tighten the socket-head cap screw to secure. Is it me, or does this description sound slightly pornographic?

Ah, the old sunscreen in the eyes trick... Been there done that. What I particularly enjoy is when I'm in a low hover, and a mixture of sunscreen and sweat runs down into my eyes.. Soooooo much fun. ;-)

They are just a whole lotta fun... I've enjoyed the heck outta mine so much I'm tempted to order another DA-70 and build up the one I bought for a parts supply. Of course when I do this, I guess I'll have to have another one for parts huh.. Yeah, I think that'll go over really well with the...
