    G'day from downunder

According to its owner it fly's very well, its a bit pricey for me, almost $1200 AUD for a frame, looks killer but if I'm gonna spend that on a frame would rather have a 100cc pilot

amazing lathe work - cube inside cube inside cube.

"Do not need a metal lathe" "Do not need a metal lathe" - Repeat 10 times after watching this video. Serious though that is pretty awesome work.

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I'm no expert but id say the angle of attack of your cowl is actually deflecting air away from that cylinder head and not into it, the holes you have might not be helping as much as intended, being so close to the prop hub it may not be getting much air if any at all through there as the closer...

    VVRC 40cc Twin

I haven't tested mine for heat but i have some decent holes in the bottom/back of the cowl and the shape of the front directs the airflow directly onto the cylinders, might get an checker to be sure though next flight.

ZDZ USA Is Bringing ZDZ Brand Back to the US! Whoo Hoo!

Awesome news, I'm hoping an AU distributor looks into the ZDZ line, would love to get one over here to test out.

Trailer thread - how did you finish yours off?

Not sure about American vehicles but is that rear bumper load bearing? most hitches here in AU need to be bolted to the chassis.

    G'day from downunder

Thanks David, my fleet has taken a nose dive lately, gone from 20 aircraft down to just 2, but I guess its a good thing as I only take 2 at a time to the field anyhow haha

    3DHS 91" Yak 55

Just waiting on someone to decide if they want to buy my 1/4 scale tucano, if they do i'm gonna nab up a DA70, always wanted a DA engine to try and apparently the 70 is pretty slick, yer its gonna be twice the cost of an EME but if the cash is there why the hell not.

Extreme Flight RC 91" Yak 54 build

Did anyone end up running a PTE 72 in the Yak or any frame for that matter, just wondering as i'm looking at engine options for my 3dhs 91 yak.

Booma RC lands in the Vendor Support Forums!

Haven't seen on in action yet twister but with the number of Jets that fly with us I think i might see some soon I'm in two minds about them; great idea for large or complex models, specially ones with tight spaces where your packs are difficult to get to or you have multiple switches etc...

No transparency, its a solid metallic green colour, didn't want it see through, not a fan, I loved the CARF canopies so kinda copied those

Thanks guys, will get that done on the next outing

    VVRC 40cc Twin

The guys said that too, they said if you can live with it for now best to run the higher idle until at least another 15L is through the engine, better than risking a mid air cut, although I fly gliders so handling a dead stick should be fine

Booma RC lands in the Vendor Support Forums!

Gotta agree, its the only switches and packs i use now on all my models, my next 91" yak is going to be running there Powerbus

    G'day from downunder

@Ohio AV8TOR I did that myself, I just used two hobby spray cans, one metallic green and one white, did a single well covered coat of the metallic green on the inside of the canopy and then did two coats of white behind it to make it pop. looks awesome in direct sunlight @Decal Dennis He...

    VVRC 40cc Twin

My Mean Green VVRC Machine :D Having a little trouble getting a stable lower idle, will do some more fiddling but I didn't realize my fuel was over 6 months old so that may have been the main reason.

    3DHS 91" Yak 55

I'm probably going to get one, my preferred supplier for EME has just run out of the 70 but he said he has one left in stock with the Auto starter already bolted on, might buy that one and remove the AS and keep it for another 70 twin scale maybe.

    3DHS 91" Yak 55

Just picked up my Yak today, looks awesome, love how the surfaces were pre-hinged. my box had 92" Yak on it, thought the model was 91" still deciding on power but leaning towards the EME60 or 70, unless this DLA64 twin arrives soon
