Prop failure....... Have you had one??

I had the same thing happen as emtp275 yesterday but it was a spendy Mezjlik spinner cone that let go when I throttled up on an up line. Luckily landed without damage except prop is no longer usable. All of the spinner screws were still tight with little pieces of CF under each one. Maybe my GP...

    DA120 and 3 blade prop

Mine is on a Hangar9 Extra300 and I'm using the stock exhaust. Yes I 3D it and pull out from hover is very impressive. Very easy to modulate the power but it will jump out of a hover very fast. It pulls well everywhere and stays very quiet. The downline braking with those wide blades is just...

    Viton clunk line

The blue stuff is working great. Once it is on you pretty much have to cut it off so it's not good for fuel dot use.

    Butt kickin' set up

I have a GP176 EVO in my Sukhoi with Proflows and am amazed at the performance every time I fly it. I can't even imagine what it would be like on Smoothpipes!! I also have a GP123 v2 in a Hangar9 extra 300 with stock mufflers and it is just as impressive. I was a diehard DA fanboy as are most...

    This is soooo not good!

You were very lucky! 110 in.lbs is what I torque to also with good results. It is my strict policy not to use CF back plates on engines above 120cc. I use Mejzlic spinners on everything. I'm not sure what prop to recommend to you. I tried a Falcon 30/14 at first as it worked well on my piped...

    3W 220 CS

I think you are right, that engine needs a bigger plane. 124-126" Carden would be my suggestion. I've seen a 118" Carden with a DLE222 in it and was just nuts. He cut the firewall back like 5" and cowl back 3" IIRC to balance everything out. On the plus side, wind was no problem!
