    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Right wing is complete (except for hinging and finishing the black trim stripe on the aileron). Left wing needs the aileron covered and the trip piece on the wing tip. Can't say enough about laying the stuff up on glass first.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Nice work. FWIW, You might consider putting some large tri-stock in the corners of the baffling at the top of the head to reduce some lost air there. On hot days mine would fade on a long upline and the temps would get over 300. Could have been a combination of things on mine, but it did help...

    3D MOJO 65 w/20cc Build

Thanks! Using your technique to layer ultracote colors. Setting them up on glass then hitting the seams with the iron. Works awesome! On the next wing will have to take a bit more care to not get some wrinkles in it before setting on wing. Practice, practice. Below are the photos of the laying...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

On my JTEC 35% the tunnel is open on the sides. I only put a 3/32 balsa sheet between the pipes and the fuel tank. No issues.

OK. Black stripes vs. white stripes. Black definitely makes better contrast. Might blend the two and leave a white stripe between the black and yellow on the fuse.

Great idea. That will also tie the black in. Thanks!

https://www.giantscalenews.com/threads/vvrc-40cc-twin.143/page-10 see post #92 for pics of the first generation baffling. Didn't cool as well as I had liked when you slow down. So then I did this below. Combination of depron and creative foam in the cowl. I don't remember the exact numbers it...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

OK. K&S piano wire sizes #503 (.055") and #504 (.062"). .055" is sloppy in the unassembled hinges. .062" is a nice slight interference fit. Works perfect. The #504 (.062") is what I used. Hinges rotate easy with no slop.

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Doug: The piano wire size is on the packaging with hinges (unfortunately not on Robart's website). I don't remember the size, used them on my 35% JTEC. If you don't get an answer back earlier, I will check tonight when I get home and get you the size. Edit: Believe it is .062" but again, will...
