Build log - RedwingRC EXTRA 330sc profile

that looks good Dennis...really like the non-linear white stripes on the bottom! I'm guessing that some of those decals will transfer very nicely to the 50cc Extra 330? :D :D

    Servo bench testing

Servo voltage...what would happen to a servo if you ran 7.4v through a servo that was rated for only 6v? Would it kill the servo? I've tried this on some cheap servos and it did not seem to harm the servos...just wondering about higher quality ones. I don't want to put a HV high torque servo...

    Kennett Missouri 3D Bash

PlaneCraz3d you and I can fly in a corner of the field for those of us with less than stellar 3D skills ;) Seriously though, skills are not a big deal...I've been to a handful of flyins and I've always had a great time even though I don't compare in skills to most of the pilots. It really is a...

Scale Top Flite P-40 Build Thread

Awesome start! A build range is a must! I cleaned off a build table for a full build but before I even opened the box I had put another airframe (that needs repairs) onto the empty table!

    Redwing RC Extra 330SC 50-60CC

Don't wait...buy yours now before they sell out! I had to replace the landing gear on my 89 slick (3dhs) tonight, otherwise I might have been able to maiden my Extra tomorrow (without a cowl)...as it is, I've got the throttle and choke linkages hooked up to the gp61 so I should be able to...

nice to have a "throwaway" cowl to experiment on! I'm so dreading the idea of cutting into that work of art!

GYRO cardenflyer I want to see some pics of your cowl! How much did you have to cut to get the DLE and GP engines in there? I was doing some advance measurement last night and it looks like I will have to have a cutout underneath the rectangular chin hole to accomodate the cylinder of the...

    Servo bench testing

that sounds like too much work. :| figured it was worth asking though... at what point does the speed become irrelevant to a mediocre 3D pilot such as myself? I'm not sure I could tell the difference from 0.12 and 0.10 or 0.08 anyway! Now that I think about it, perhaps around 0.14 or below...
