The SHP was alive last time I saw it. Tom flies it very carefully. The 89 got doinked but is fixed.

71" AJ Slick Building, Flying, and Questions

It was in the stupidest possible way: I was trying to get a flight in before our club meeting, but didn't have time to get the plane set up. After 90 minutes of excruciatingly boring discussions about why there was a three cent discrepancy in the bookkeeping and whether the wind sock should be...

Fixed her! :) But... uhm... I didn't strap the batteries in well enough and shot them out through the canopy in a pop top. Luckily I was crazy low, so the impact wasn't that bad. She's ready to fly again! I'm SOOOO sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

    Aerobeez 88" Slick 540 v2 (50cc)

Thanks! Sounds like this is a good setup, then. I'll probably go with Hitec 7955TGs, BTW. Should be sweet! May go with something a little bit cheaper on the throttle, though. 7955TG seems just a little overkill there!

    Aerobeez 88" Slick 540 v2 (50cc)

I'm planning on powering my 88" with a DA-50. Someone at the field told me I'd better put a tuned pipe on it, or it may be a bit weak. Any opinions? If I need to get a pipe for it, I want to make that decision before I cut the cowl for the side dump that I have sitting on my bench... The...

I haven't decided on servos yet. We may be looking to review some lesser known brand for the site. ...or just go with Hitec. We shall see!
