IMAC The new Dalton 300 SP / 330

Looks like your new build table is coming in handy! I am really enjoying the fact that a lot of the kits coming out are getting so much more build friendly. There are a lot of options out there and that's pretty exciting! Looking forward to watching this come together!

DLE 170 dead cylinder and piston

FWIW, here are five pistons out of my 350cc 4-cyl boxer type outboard racing engine. Typically a lean and hot condition leads to sticking on the exhaust side of the piston where it is hotter. And that appears to be what happened in your case, IMHO. In the pics: The left three are stuck on the...

    DA 120 with onboard Tach.

I am surprised you found one. They are unfortunately discontinued. Thought I got the last one.... ;) All you need is the hall effect sensor with a resistor installed as a shunt, some power, and connect to the TM1000. If I recall correctly, @IMAC FANATIC did not use the evolution unit, though he...

    DA 120 with onboard Tach.

I am using that device on my VVRc 40. It is plugged directly into the tach lead on the rcexcel ignition. Then into the Tm 1000 rpm input. Jealous on the 35! Edit: Just for clarification, you are planning on using the evo unit on the DLE, yes? Otherwise you need to go a different direction and...

    IMAC JTEC 2.7m Extra 300CS

Travelling this week for work. But I did get some "real work" accomplished last weekend. Wheel pants are mounted. Cowl Ring is glued in. Throttle servo located in bottom of motor box. Thanks to @Terryscustom for his great Viper build thread on flipping the DA carb arm around! Started lining out...

Tips for Attaching Sensors to Engine Cooling Fins

You could try putting a piece of silicon fuel tubing over the wire to make a tight fit between the fins. Further, don't wrap the cylinder, just push the sensor piece in with the fuel tubing on the wire behind it (so if your fins are 1/2" deep you only insert the sensor in 1/2"). Use a zip tie on...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

This plane stand showed up and then got it assembled...... in about all of 45 seconds. Damn, @Terryscustom seriously had a wet dream when he came up with this simplistic and elegant design! Hat's off, because the simplistic stuff is seriously difficult to do. Couldn't be happier! Well done!!

IMAC Carden Pro 124 Build, My Dream Plane

Wow! Awesome!! I assume that you had already tacked down the covering on the bottom and partway up the sides (and forward of the turtle deck) before cutting? These are some great tips and tricks! Thanks!
