    3DHS and Extreme Flight Merger?

I like both brands, but it looks like 3DHS has slipped as of late. They have few offerings in the park flyer class these days, customer service is reportedly nonexistent, and there is always a shortage of stock. However, I have always liked their willingness to put out a niche product like the...

    Tunnel Huck Part 4

Haha alright. Actually I'd be more interested in just flying giant scale in the back country like these guys do.

    Tunnel Huck Part 4

Does anyone know of somewhere in California where this sort of thing could be done? I'm, uh, asking for a friend...

RedwingRC 50cc Yak-55 with Joe Smith at the sticks!

Those tumbles were so slow. Almost looked full scale, actually. I've never seen a model actually do a crankshaft at that speed and keep on flipping.

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

You can probably just open it up a little and soak it with CA for extra strength. Shouldn't be a problem.

    3DHS 91" Yak 55

DLE-55 would do fine without a pipe for general 3D and sport flying. I have a GP-61 on a Smooth Pipe on my Yak, and I would totally recommend that pipe for your plane, unless cost is an issue. I have ridiculous amounts of power but I also fly with a 32 oz tank and have the extra weight of the...

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

Hmmm... I know it's a different plane entirely, but the 46" Yak 55 seemed to fly better with the CG a little farther forward than neutral (but still aft of what 3DHS specified in the manual). I'm just throwing it out there as a suggestion because it works for me and I'm only trying to help out.

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Well, I'm kind of torn between an EF 60" Yak 54 vs the 3DHS 60" Yak 55. The way things are going for me these days, though, I had better save some cash to replace my 60cc Yak when I inevitably kill it!

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

I don't know about anyone else, but I never adjust the CG for weather conditions. I set my 3D planes up for neutral handling both upright and inverted, and then I set a rudder-elevator-aileron mix for knife edge and I leave it on permanently. That way it reacts precisely and predictably in all...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

I guess we both like the weird planes, then! I don't need any more enabling, since I'm pretty sure my wife will kill me one of these days...

    3DHS 60cc Yak-55

I cut a little rectangle to expose the fins on the cylinder while leaving a 1/2" bit of the cowl opening for structure. Then I blocked the front and extended the baffle backwards to the fins to limit blow-by. I haven't actually checked the temps after flights but after running on the ground for...

    3DHS 60" Yak-55

Any news on how these planes are flying? Videos? Different setups? I want to see how the 4S setups are flying vs the 6S ones.

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Hey! I fly a 3DHS 91" Yak 55 and an EF 48" Laser EXP out at the Mather RC club in beautiful and picturesque Sacramento CA! Flying for a couple years but just now starting to get competent at the 3D thing, and I'm fully addicted and I'm just sitting here waiting on some batteries to charge!

    RedwingRC New 50cc Yak-55!

Interesting scheme, especially the bottom... I designed a Yak 55 for the OMP contest a couple months back and it had triangles on the bottom too, only a little bigger. If you can find the pictures you can have the scheme. I just want bragging rights or maybe a plane ;-)
