@sweetpea if you can wire lights and outlets, the breaker box is a walk in the park! The main thing is keeping the wires neat and organized inside the box. I am assuming you will be running 220 to some outlets, that would be the only thing out of the norm for you. I am not licensed and did all...

About a gallon and a half since the new rings.

Well, maybe I will give it another gallon of my patience to see if the rings finally settle in and things stabilize :)

Yes it is. It is running better than it has and is flyable without a doubt, but there is just that lack of confidence in the carb. Sometimes it will respond just fine and other times it won't. Never had that type of problem with a Walbro, it either worked or it didn't.

I have been sneaking up on it for more than a gallon now. I can't sneak anymore, it hurts to much :)

Thank you Rob. It is really starting to come around. Thought I had the Tillitson figured out, but will be calling DA today to order a DA-100 card for it. Tired of messing with it every time I go out.

Spent 6 hours at the field today!!! It was a blast. First beautiful day for flying this year. I went through more than a gallon of gas between the Edge and the Extra, bringing this years total to over 5 gallons so far :)

@Xpress where is your flying site at? That looks a lot like the Alpine area that was east of Santee. I lived in Santee for about 5 years and always ended up driving to a small field on base to fly. I was flying slimers at the time, fast slimers :)

    3W Ignition timing manual

Yes, 55 degrees on the green magnet and that should put the red magnet at TDC when you get a spark. If you have the grey magnet then set the grey magnet at 47 degrees and the red magnet should still be at TDC when you get a spark.

    3W Ignition timing manual

@wingburner, did you get a 3w ignition? If you did, the pdf file that is attached to the first post explains how to time the engine. It is TOTALLY different than a C&H or RCExcel ignition. I put a RCExcel on my 106 and the engine is running like it has never ran before other than some minor carb...

    number of flips...

3W-150 TOC 4-5 flips on choke, 3-4 and running 3W-106 3-4 flips on choke, 4-5 and running DA-60 2-3 flips on choke, 3 and running, this was when I had the engine. It was one of the best starting engines I have ever owned. I do not run mine dry. Used to, but found that the carb sometimes would...

    IMAC Terryscustom 35% MXS-ST Prototype

@Terryscustom that does look strange at 90 degrees :) Great job on the hinges! Can't wait to see them finished. Are you going to put some sort of finishing line on the vertical stab or leave it so you can get a full 90 if you decide to down the road?

@Xpress 5mph is breezy??? We were flying with 8-12 direct crosswinds last night for a while. Not as much fun as 5, but we still fly because this time of year we are just itching to get the sticks moving again :) It did die down about 30 minutes before sunset and made for some fun flying at the...

That's ok Rob. Just dream about flying, that will soothe the mind until it can actually happen :-) I did fly the 42 center today a couple times. Man that is such a sweet flying plane. I even hovered at about 15 feet a couple times! That is the lowest I have ever done that. It was cool seeing...
